Madrid came into the game following a 3 - 1 win over Real Sociedad over the weekend but could not break down the Betis wall in front of them. The away side made the brighter start to the game as Keylor Navas was made to work twice in the first three minutes of the game. Madrid did not have any chance of note until the second half where Gareth Bale hit the bar while Antonio Adan made a smart save from Borja Maryoral's header.
Late in the game, a right-footed low drive from Toni Kroos was pushed away for a corner.
Betis used time wasting tactics and the referee was forced to give five minutes of extra time which was how they got the winner.

Real Madrid's incredible run of scoring in 73 consecutive matches was brought to an end as they drop to 7th on the La Liga standings after five games.
Thank you
