Chelsea must beat Manchester United to remain in tittle race

Thibaut Courtois believes that Chelsea should get all points on Sunday against Manchester United, if they plan to retain their title.

Chelsea is fourth in the table and nine points behind Manchester City and is four points behind United, which will face on Sunday.

Courtois conceded three goals in UCL's Rome clash at the Olympic Stadium and believes that Sunday's victory at the Bridge will be of great help in defending his title.

"If we want to stay close to the top of the Premier League, then it's a game to win for us," said Courtois at Stadio Olympico. "I think City is nine points [ahead of us], United has four, Tottenham is just a striker, but this game is mandatory if you want to be close to the top and close to other teams.

"We will try to get three points and give our lives for this Sunday.

Courtois was asked if the Blues were fighting to face the Champions League and the Premier League this season.
"I do not think so," said the goalkeeper. "We try to do our best and we want to be in the Champions League, and a few years ago we won the league playing in the Champions League.

"Obviously, it's a change, so it's more difficult, we're tired faster than last year, but I do not think it affects us, I think we just have to keep training well and to be ready for Sunday. of the Palace and I think that Rome later, we showed a good character against Watford and Bournemouth.

"We could have won 4-0 against Bournemouth, so I think we'll have to meet tomorrow, see the pictures and see what we could have done better and then give us 150 percent of us on Sunday."
