Arsene Wenger won’t drop Arsenal star to play Jack Wilshere, warns ex-defender

The Arsenal legend doesn't believe Arsene Wenger would drop Aaron Ramsey in favour of Jack Wilshere

Martin Keown doesn’t believe Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere can play in the same Arsenal midfield together.

The Gunners have been bolstered by Wilshere’s return to the Arsenal team in the 2017-18 season.
Arsene Wenger has limited Wilshere to appearances in the Europa League and the EFL Cup so far this term.
The 26-year-old made his first appearance of the season as a second-half substitute in a 3-1 win against German side Cologne.
Wilshere made his first start of the campaign in a 2-0 win against Doncaster Rovers in the League Cup third round.Perhaps his best performance so far came in a 4-2 victory over BATE Borisov in the Europa League last month as he completed 90 minutes for the first time this term.
Wilshere’s team-mate Ramsey has impressed over the past month or so to help Arsenal go four games unbeaten and kick-start their season.
Former Arsenal defender Keown doesn’t believe Ramsey and Wilshere are capable of playing together in midfield despite their undoubted talent.
“The problem is I cannot see how Aaron Ramsey and Wilshere can play in the same team,” Keown told the Daily Mail.
“They are competing for the same place and I can only see Wenger playing Wilshere ahead of Granit Xhaka if he wants to have a really attacking midfield.”
Arsenal started September with a credible goalless draw with Premier League champions Chelsea following a 4-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield.
The Gunners have eased to home victories over West Brom, Bournemouth and Brighton to collect 10 points from a possible 12.Thank you
