Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will clash Saturday in a key match between two teams tied for second place in the Premier League and the pursuit of Manchester City leader.

Both teams are five points behind Citizens in the current state of things, and the Spurs seem much more capable after winning their last four league games.

United succumbed to Huddersfield Town the last time in their first loss of the season, a day before the Spurs cheered up with a 4-1 triumph over Liverpool.

Despite Tottenham's good performance, the Londoners of the North will be wary of losing their last three trips to Old Trafford without scoring a goal.

Read on for an overview of the start of Saturday, as well as the latest news from the team and information broadcast live.

Team news
The return of center Phil Jones is a promising idea for fans of Manchester United after his withdrawal from the defeat of Huddersfield.
Manager Jose Mourinho spoke with Sky Sports after the 2-0 win over Carabao Cup last Tuesday against Swansea City (without TalkSport): "There was no injury either, so it's a good day, I think Phil Jones will be in form Saturday against Tottenham, but other than that I have no news. "
Even more promising for the Red Devils is the possibility that Eric Bailly will return to the fold in time for Tottenham's visit, although injury analyst Ben Dinnery said Saturday's shock would be too early for others:

However, a return for Bailly may be too premature, since Bill Rice, of BBC Radio Manchester, has provided more quotes from Mourinho:

ESPN FC's Rob Dawson reported doubts about the physical condition of Ander Herrera and Marcus Rashford after they "picked up shots" against the Swan, which means a potential change in position at middle and in attack.

Left-back Ben Davies should be available again for the Spurs after illness, and Dinnery also wrote that Mousa Dembele was back in training, while Victor Wanyama is still on the sidelines.

As the fine margins for which these two teams are separated indicate, this is perhaps the most competitive Tottenham team we have seen in terms of quality and stature.
However, the last few years have illustrated a division between the two, in favor of the United States, when it comes to beating their Premier

But coach Mauricio Pochettino is gradually building this Spurs team into a lineup capable of upsetting this trend, and a lot of pressure falls on Premier League striker Harry Kane to break the Old Trafford lines on Saturday.

United has not yet conceded a home goal in league competition this season, but Kane could change that if he continues his current form, as football writer Sacha Pisani recently illustrated:

The England international scored two goals in a 4-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday, while United Romelu leader Lukaku has been simmering and scoring no goals in his last four games.

Mourinho recently criticized for failing to show a lot of adventure in his draw in Liverpool, and local fans are hoping to see a little more vividness in his attempt to get away from the Spurs at the table.
