Didier Drogba returns to Chelsea

Chelsea
is considering bringing Didier Drogba back to Stamford Bridge to replace former Super Eagles defender Michael Emenalo, Emenalo recently resigned as technical director of the Premier League champions. The Telegraph reports that Emenalo's departure could allow Abramovich to try to recover Drogba.

Hull City manager Leonid Slutsky is also under consideration and can be offered a job at Chelsea in case he is fired as head coach of his club. Drogba has scored more than 150 goals in two different periods at Chelsea and is currently a player-owner in the American club Phoenix Rising. However, there are reports that the French money exchanges of the Ligue 1 of Monaco are interested in the services of Emenalo. Emenalo had quoted family reasons for his resignation.

"After 10 years here, 10 wonderful and successful years, but very demanding years, it is very difficult to decide to retire," he said. "It's completely my decision and it happened for very simple reasons, I need to have the opportunity to see my young children grow up and also take a step back and think about the work I did here and things that we have been able to achieve together in this great club."
