José Mourinho suffers another blow when fan support collapses after Chelsea's defeat

Image result for mourinhoManchester United boss was already under pressure after mediocre results and Lukaku with his supporters. But Sun's exclusive investigation shows the true extent of how Old Trafford's followers are starting to turn against him.

It may have been the weekend that cost Slaven Bilic his job, but it was José Mourinho who was the biggest loser when it came to supporting fans.

An exclusive SunSport poll shows that Manchester United's 1-0 defeat at Chelsea saw the number of satisfied supporters of their work drop from 75% to 43%.

The alarming drop in support underlines the pressure on the Portuguese boss, who was already criticized for a series of mediocre screens and his attack on fans for criticizing his management of the "untouchable" Romelu Lukaka.

Mourinho's approval rating of just 43 percent is the lowest season for him and in stark contrast to 96 percent of the fans who adored him at the end of August, when United was sitting on top of the table with three wins of three.

To make matters worse, his rival, Pep Guardiola, has seen the esteem in which the Etihad faithful have made him grow and grow, and now 99% agree that he makes an "excellent" or "very good" job. .

José suffered the biggest drop in the Voices of Fans' approval this week, clearly ahead of Rafa Benitez of Newcastle and Paul Clement of Swansea in second and third place.

Benitez saw his support drop from 12 to 85 percent still strong after Toon's 1-0 home defeat at Bournemouth.

Clemente suffered a ten percent fall, falling to an extremely precarious contributor of four hundred.

That's the same number of fans who were still behind the damned boss of West Ham, Bilic, before Davids Sullivan and Gold swing the ax at the London Stadium on Monday morning and replace the Croatian by David Moyes.

But all was not fatal for the leaders of the Premier League.

New Leicester coach Claude Puel, whose arrival at KP Stadium was greeted with a smile and much less applause, saw his support jump from 39% uncomfortable to 64% after the Fox retreat. by 2-2. Stoke Midlands Rivals.

Eddie Howe hailed an identical increase of 25% after Steve Cook's last winner for the Cherries made his big trip to the northeast, well worth the money from fans' gas.

And although it was the worst weekend imaginable for Slaven Bilic after his team's 4-1 loss to Liverpool, the result meant a 21% increase in Jurgen Klopp's support in the opposing home.

The pressure seems to be outside these three at the moment, but think about Mark Hughes.

The Stoke boss, whose side is 15th on the table, saw neither an increase nor a decrease in his support over the weekend, but he remained with exactly zero percent of the fans confident in the job that he does.

Tony Pulis of West Brom, with four per cent, and Mauricio Pellegrino, who has only two per cent of Saints supporters, will also look on the shoulders once the international break is over.

It's not that Pulis disturbs him, he spends his time resting in Barbados.

And it would not be interesting to know what fans think about that ...
