The best players of MANCHESTER CITY have predicted the great football and the success of Pep Guardiola.

In announcing new record revenue of 473 million pounds for the last fiscal year, President Khaldoon Al Mubarak admitted to having run out of trophies in the first season of Guardiola, which was a "disappointment".

But with City already eight points ahead of the Premier League team after 11 games, the city hierarchy clearly believes that Guardiola will deliver the football the club needs so much and the cutlery they want.

And although the managing director Ferran Soriano acknowledged that the last term was "unsatisfactory", he is convinced that he has sown the seeds of a memory campaign.

Soriano said: "Last season, the team showed exactly the kind of quality football we want to play.

"We are determined to play football and to win, the two elements are compatible and the second is a consequence of the first.

"I trust we will see more progress and silver in the coming seasons."

Soriano's point of view was repeated by Khaldoon, who suggested that the last semester was "a promising season and very real moments".

He added: "The investments directed in the summer of 2016 among the talented young players, combined with the existing capabilities in our team, have allowed an impressive start to the season and some memorable performances.

"We have entered the new season with a legitimate sense of ambition and expectation."
