Champions League: Real Madrid finally win at Dortmund, Kane hits hat-trick for Tottenham Spurs



Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a brace on his 400th appearance for Real Madrid, as they beat Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Gareth Bale had opened scoring for the holders in the first half, after connecting sweetly with Dani Carvajal’s cross.

Bale then laid on a pass for Ronaldo to make it 2-0. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pulled one back, before Ronaldo grabbed his second to settle the tie.

It was Madrid’s first win ever at the Signal Iduna Park.

Harry Kane scored his first Champions League hat-trick to keep Tottenham level with Madrid, after a 3-0 win at Apoel Nicosia.

Liverpool settled for a second straight draw in Group E, after being held 1-1 away to Spartak Moscow.

In other games, Sevilla defeated Maribor 3-0 and Manchester City held off Shakhtar Donetsk 2-0 to win their second straight game to open Group F.

Napoli made up for their opening defeat at Shakhtar to cruise past Feyenoord 3-1 and Besiktas are top of Group G on six points after defeating RB Leipzig 2-0.

Vincent Aboubakar scored twice, to help Porto earn their first points in Group G with a 3-0 win away to Monaco.dailypost
