Arsene Wenger drops hint about Alexis Sanchez’s Arsenal future

Arsene Wenger hints that Arsenal could consider selling both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in January

A

rsene Wenger has admitted that Arsenal may consider selling both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in the January transfer window.

Sanchez’s situation has been a relentless source of speculation at Arsenal in recent months after both he and Ozil entered into the final 12 months of their contracts at The Emirates.
Neither player has yet committed their future to the north London side, despite the clock ticking down on their current deals at The Emirates.
With the January transfer window fast approaching, there have been suggestions that Arsenal could look to cash-in in the new year, rather than risk losing both players on free transfers next summer.
And Wenger has now for the first time confirmed that the Gunners could be tempted to sell the pair in January, although he did stress that he wants them to stay at the club.
Asked whether Arsenal would consider selling Ozil and Sanchez in January, Wenger told a news conference at London Colney on Thuesday morning: “Once you are in our kind of situation we have envisaged every kind of solution, yes.
“Yes, it’s possible.”
Arsenal fans will be hoping to see both Ozil and Sanchez back in action for the Gunners, when the north London side return to Premier League action after the international break with a crunch clash against Watford on Saturday evening.thank you
