Michael Owen is backing Liverpool to hold Tottenham to a draw in Sunday’s crunch Premier League clash at Wembley.

Liverpool is in the match to try to get back to the top after their 0-0 draw against Manchester United at Anfield last weekend.

It was a difficult start to the season for Jurgen Klopp's side as the Reds had only three of their first eight Premier League games.

Tottenham, meanwhile, has been in good shape and has won four of his last five Premier League matches to finish third behind Manchester City and Manchester United.

Spurs are getting used to playing their home games at Wembley this season while White Hart Lane is being redeveloped. Former Liverpool star Owen believes both teams will likely share the loot when they meet in Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

In his blog for BetVictor, Owen said: "As well as Liverpool's 7-0 win at Maribor in the Champions League was, you have to feel that the Spurs 1-1 with Real Madrid at Bernabeu will have meant a lot more with Mauricio Pochettino's team is now guaranteed to qualify for the round of 16. "The Spurs were very impressive on their travels as they battled in home games at Wembley.

Liverpool has also thrived on the road this season and will be supported by its 7-0 win in the Champions League. "I find it difficult to divide the sides and expect it to be a match for the home crowd on Sunday."

Liverpool aims to improve its fourth place in the Premier League last season. Tottenham, meanwhile, intends to go even further this weekend after finishing second at Chelsea last season.
