Nigerian-born teenage goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho makes La Liga debut
Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho made his debut in La Liga with Deportivo La Coruna in the first round of Spain yesterday in a match against Eibar and kept a blank sheet, making four magnificent saves in the process.

"A coach must act according to the things he sees in training.
"He's only 18 and he can barely speak Spanish, but I know what he can offer this club," said Mel.
Uzoho was present at the 2013 U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in support of Dele Alampasu, who is currently bending his trade in the Portuguese second division. Uzoho was not in goal for the entire tournament, but his heroism with the Aspire Academy in Qatar was good enough for the league club to get him out of trouble.
Representing Deportivo in the league, Uzoho will be the fourth African to play for the 1999/2000 League champions after Peter Rufai represented them from 1997 to 1999 and Jacques Songo'o from Cameroon also has two seasons with the semi-finalists of the UEFA Champions League.
Songo'o's return in 2004 made him the second oldest player to play in the league in 40 years. Uzoho is the third Nigerian player to play in the Spanish elite after Peter Rufai and Wilfred Agbonavbare.
With Uzoho seen and played in one of the major European leagues, the Super Eagles led by Gernot Rohr may have more alternatives in the team of goaltenders of the department as site selection remains active before the 2018 Russia World Cup Thanks
