The striker broke a record that took 11 years to settle and remained for 78 years scoring against Napoli on Wednesday.


Sergio Aguero became Manchester City's all-time leading scorer with his attack on Napoli on Wednesday night. The Argentinian striker now has 178 goals for City, beating Eric Brook's record of 177. Aguero tied the record with a penalty against Burnley in October and, although he converted some space in a penalty shot against the wolves in the Carabao Cup last week, did not count for his total.
But he hit Napoli after being reinstated in the starting lineup of the Champions League by manager Pep Guardiola.
